Founded in 1998, Run, Rabbit, Run Productions brings story to life through living history performances, educational presentations, videos and documentaries.  Whether an original work or an adaptation, Run, Rabbit, Run is dedicated to creating accurate, educational and entertaining historical programming for your museum, organization, theatre company, library, university or school. 

Run, Rabbit, Run's first documentary, "Having a Ball:Ballroom Costume, Etiquette and Dance in the Midst of the Rebellion," aired several times on The History Channel between 1998 and 2000.  Run, Rabbit, Run's second documentary, "Southern Courage: Civil War Women of Loudoun County, Virginia" was created to support Virginia SOL's in Civil War and Women's Studies.  Since 1998, Run, Rabbit, Run has created presentations for a wide range of museums, schools and history organizations with programs ranging in scope from a 1940s style radio show to an 1850 abolitionist fundraiser.  Limited only by the imagination, Run, Rabbit, Run Productions are able to bring story to vibrant life for audiences of all ages.

Run, Rabbit, Run plays and living history productions feature

Writing and directing by award-winning historian and prize-winning playwright Meredith Bean McMath.  A graduate of The College of William and Mary, McMath has been producing living history programs and historical plays for over thirty years (see client list below).  Run, Rabbit, Run is known for professional level productions which include veteran actors and historically accurate costuming and props.

McMath writes and produces original works and adaptations based on primary and secondary source resources provided by your organization and/or through additional research and works with veteran theatre and living history performers in order to ensure an excellent production experience. She holds extensive experience in public program marketing and promotion and will assist your organization with publicity - from press releases and posters to demographic study and target marketing.
